Junkers and the Bauhaus formed a symbiosis in Dessau, producing groundbreaking achievements in the few years before their expulsion by the National Socialists—achievements we now take for granted. Just as Junkers referred to his works as research factories, Gropius described the Bauhaus workshops as laboratories for innovation.

With its minimalist design, the Bauhaus series pays homage to the Bauhaus movement and commemorates the collaboration between Bauhaus Dessau and the Junkers factories. Though this partnership came to an abrupt end in 1933, its outcomes continue to shape art and architecture worldwide to this day.
