Swiss watchmaker Edox is introducing the Edox Skydiver 70s Date Automatic, a new model that pays homage to the brand’s 135-year old history. Dedicated to all admirers of the vintage timepieces, the new member of the Skydiver collection pays tribute to the paratroopers and extreme conditions they may face on land and sea.
In its modern-day rendition, the Edox Skydiver retains its core features: reliability and ruggedness. This vintage-styled chronograph is water resistant to no less than 300 meters! It features a diver’s bezel and a sturdy 2mm-thick sapphire crystal. The hands and the hour markers are coated with new-generation Superluminova X1 luminous pigments that provide a performance increase of up to 60% after two hours compared to the standard grade.
The ultimately scratch-resistant and readable even in the most extreme conditions, the watch is powered by an automatic three-hand Swiss movement calibre 80. The movement is based on the ETA 2824, which has a power reserve of 38 h, 25 Jewels, and a Frequency of 28.800 A/h. A 42mm wide, stainless steel case accommodates the movement, while a matching metal bracelet completes the look.
