The new Les Vauberts Automatic Moon Phase timepiece from boutique Swiss watchmaker Edox showcases the journey of the Earth’s nearest celestial neighbour in elegant simplicity. The silver dial, with blued hands and indices, shines as if lit by the full Moon. A gorgeous display at 6 o’clock showcases the passing of the Moon’s phases against a star-lit sky. There’s a date window, too, at 3 o’clock while an outer ring marks off the passage of time in minute increments.

The Les Vauberts Automatic Moon Phase sports a classical, clean look that oozes elegance. And even though it is 42mm in diameter, it doesn’t overpower the wrist, thanks to the design’s sleek lines. Under the 316L stainless steel case beats a new Edox Calibre 805 automatic movement, the first for a Moon Phase watch from the Les Genevez-based company. Offset with a structured leather strap, the Les Vauberts Automatic Moon Phase is a stunning but subtle timepiece that would be a worthy addition to any collection.
